THE PLACE AND ROLE OF THE FOOD INDUSTRY IN ENSURING THE FOOD SECURITY OF AZERBAIJAN

ABSTRACT

 

The food industry is one of the oldest branches of the country’s economy, supplying raw materials to the food market.The food industry is characterized by employment, as well as ensuring the country’s food security, which is due to the large proportion of the number of people employed in the food industry compared to other sectors of the economy.An increase in the number of companies in the food industry will lead to the solution of a number of socio-economic problems that will affect the socio-economic development of the food industry in the country.

         Purpose- disclosure of the place and role of the food industry in ensuring food security of the country, identification of the results of activities carried out in the republic in this direction.

         Methodology- a scientific abstraction known in economics, in which conditional, statistical methods of analysis are used, “when other conditions are the same.”

         Findings and practical significance of the study the upcoming work in the food industry on the processing of agricultural products to ensure food security in the republic, aspects of improving the standard of living of the population with their use, the possibilities of their improvement are indicated.

         Scientific novelty of the research– the directions of ensuring food security, ways of ensuring economic and food security, improving the quality and competitiveness of products are indicated.
